FLOODLUST: (Flod-lust) def: A state of uncontrollable dementia experienced by whitewater enthusiasts when rivers and creeks reach dangerously high levels. The intensity of the dementia increases in direct proportion to the the volume of water at the destination and the probability of annihilation. The effect is often heightened by the sight of barns, houses, and/or shredded paddling gear floating down the stream in question.
